Experincing Mardi Gras

i have just realised that the previous post was my 100th entries, and yah, nothing special about it i know, i just mentioned for my own pleasure~~

as my title said, Mardi Gras was the event that i got involved with my housemates. ok, we are not "involved", but just part of the crowd, it's a big big crowd that i thought it's national day or some sort of VIP events. Mardi Gras, it's a Gay and Lesbian Festival held in Sydney every year on the first saturday in March. almost everyone in the city will not miss the chance of joining it, watching the colourful and creative parade that they had spent hell lots of time in it. Since i said the crowd was big, so little tiny man like me of course couldn't squeeze my way to the front line, and yeah, i couldn't really catch the clear sight of it, just heard the standing aviation from the crowd. thus, my housemate, who is obviously taller than me, became the camera man of the day. it's a three hour parade which were funded by many well-known companies in sydney. well, let's pictures tell the story.
DREAMBOYS? i don't really know what does it mean.
so yeah, they are part of the people in the parade. see the stonewall hotel? i guessed that's one of the many sponsors.
another bunch of parade which is to deliver different message to the peoples. see the guy who is in silver suit? well, the suit itself didn't look nice though.
so yeah, everyone in this section of the parade were wearing skirt and pink shirt, pink is the international colour for gay and les? well, it doesn't look like pink, but purplish pink. ahh, i don't know, i don't have the art sense in me.
they were posing for the picture. so yah, without being hesitant, we jumped at the chance to take this picture. it's cute, reading "ass right here". well, nice slogan though.
aha, the guy was actually wearing nothing but the small piece of red clothes, he was probably shy in front of the crowd, so yah, the glove came in handy to cover his butt. and the girl there, seemed like a queen, and the guys were the slave.
aha, here they are, my housemates, thomas and katherine. they are siblings, who are my dad's friend's children. so happy to have them here with me in this whole new environment. they are very obliging and yeah, nice to talk to.
can see the crowd?such a huge crowd. that's only part of the crowd in part of the street, there were more and more people down the street for nearly 5km think.
wow, i like this pic. everything is blurred out, but the figure in the middle is sooo clear. yah, she was moving fast in that i-don't-know-what-the-hell-is that-device.

well, as i knew, he was there posing for people to take picture of him. i personally thought he looks like orlando bloom, but samantha tee said he looks like justin timberlake. anyway, girls, he is not available for you all, unless you have the power to "straighten" him.
There were hell lots of Harry Davisson that day, around 100 i think. that's part of the parade too. wow, that's cool, lesbian girls actually drove that more than guys, they have their cool ways to ride on that.
hehe, shirtless girl, well, i should say braless girl, we had tonnes of them. Guys, don't drool, behave~~
can someone please tell me what's that called?
they did quite a few these kind of slogan, to tell people what's actually the right way they should think about them.

so yah, pretty much like that, the rest of the pictures seemed to be too dark, so i am not going to post them up. the parade lasted for three hours, but me and my housemates left earlier after an hour or so, because we were very tired to stand there and couldn't get a comfy place to watch that. anyway, that's an eye-opening experience i did have.
