Blue Mountains

I suggested to Tom(my exhousemate) that we should go somewhere instead of staying at home bored ourselves to death yesterday. Blue mountains is the place i suggested to him, and yeah, there we went, Blue Mountains this morning. Without any guide, without any map in advance, just the excitement that had overflowed for the whole night. We set off at 6.45am this morning to catch the 7.18am train to Katoomba, which is in vicinity of Blue mountains, at the central railway station. Sherene (tom's new housemate who is currently occupying the room i had been sleeping in a month ago) followed us.

when we reached the central railway station, which is only 10 minutes walk from our place, we asked for the details of where we should be heading, which kind of tic we should purchase and so on. after that, we bought a a combination of rail tic and bus tic (the hop-on-hop-off blue mountains explorer link), and there we go, Blue Mountains.

it was a two-hours journey all the way to blue mountains. i am relieved enough to see the condition of the train, MUCH MORE better than KTM, especially compared to the KTM from singapore to Kuala Lumpur. so yeah, it's very comfortable to be in the train for two hours.

He is Tom, eating the sandwiches Sherene had prepared for us.
Sherene and I. she is from China but had been in Wellington, New Zealand for eight years, completed double degree there. aha.
aha, this picture is cool, the reflection in the mirror is so mysterious. i have had a sudden liking for taking picture recently.
i was playing around with my Lumix camera after was done with my novel-reading. This uncle was obviously sleeping across from where i sat. it's very thoughtful just looking at the picture. there is something weird but u cant tell from the pic.

after two hours and ten minutes on the train, we arrived at our destination, Katoomba station.
the staff was kind enough to help us with the photo-shooting. though it was not good enough, but it's very appreciated. where was Sherene? yeah, she was far gone ahead of us, so haha, very sorry to leave you out.
huhu, this was the double-decker red bus that we took from one stop to another. there are altogether 30 stops in the whole Blue Mountains area. it's not only a mountain, but a series of them. Blue MountainS. i like the bus very much, it had been such a fun sitting in it.

yeah, cascade. It's a nice one if the weather had not been that cold. i was freezing the whole day in spite of the jacket. arghhhhhh!!!
wow, this pic looks very much like a postcard. ok, i know i am boasting, but it is nice, isn't it?
we climbed all the way up to the peak of the mountains. so happy we did it after a long way through the muddy path which soiled my white shoes!!!!! arghhh!!!! so carefree and relaxed standing on top of the mountain, with the lush green trees and mountains as the background.
those three poles-like rock structure are the Three Sisters of which Blue Mountains is famous for. however, i still know nothing about the tale about the Three Sisters, sad case man. maybe i should do some research about it later. what a shame to tell people i know nothing about it after the trip.
huh? where to? he looked puzzled obviously!! ahah, we were just too tired to keep on walking, sat down and relaxed~~
when i went down the flight of stairs, there was this dried-seed-of-duno-what-species-of-tree that caught my attention. i halted and zoomed in the camera for this. yeah, that's the seed. do u feel it's sorta looks like sth? well, it looks very much like a dick, as Tom had agreed with me!! u could always get something unexpected from mother nature.

ok, just rocks and bridge. we were now right under the Three Sisters. there is a bridge that can link you to the Three Sisters. If you cannot stand the cold temperature, and freezing wind, it's better for you not to go. otherwise, u will be the statue among the Three Sisters.

ok, this was where we had our lunch. a small British cottage which sells a lot of sophiscated and pretty souvenier and half of the shop is allocated for people to have their teatime. the ambience inside is very very nice, trust me!! if you ever go to blue mountains, this is a must-go place. we had scones and Devonshire tea for lunch. the scones are very soft, delicious, and smelled nice too. Scones are something like muffin but softer than muffin andof course taste better than muffin. this has been the first time i tried out scones. Fantastic!!!!
i saw this handsome Husky on the street. he is damn handsome man!! Husky has always been my favourite dog. i have always wanted to rear one, but the weather in Malaysia doesnt suit him. sho shad~~
ok, the pic will end the post. i wonder why my hair has become brown colour when i am in Australia. it's pretty obvious when i go outdoor and light brown when i stay indoor. i didn't turn on the flash, neither shined by the sunlight. aha, just to tell that i didn't dye my hair!!!
