Rock Climbing

Despite the fact that i hate geology and all the rock-studies, i went for rock climbing yesterday. lol. To be honest, i have had so much fun and it seems to me that second visit is indeed inevitable!!! Different kind of walls designed for different level of climber. Obviously the wall above is not meant for beginner like me. but well, i will handle it soon~

i actually wonder how much it'd cost to build all them. But meh, not that i wanna build one at my place.

This was the last one i tried for the day. i failed thrice before i got to the top of the wall. it'd be less harder if i were taller!!! lol.

yeah, this extrusion part was the one given me a really hard time ! i used up all my strength to hold on to it and finished my session due to the exhaustion afterwards.

Where is the rope? haha, nah, i was not climbing when the picture was taken by Peter. i was just posing for the picture. ok here is the problem, it requires two people to work together -a climber and a belayer. So there is no free hands to take the picture :(.

ok, i scratched and hurt my knees during the session. i should have worn a longer pants but i was silly enough not to. but hey, that's my first time, i am smarter now!

It's just fun. dai bo, let's go rock climbing when i am back in malaysia!!!!!!

Alice said goodbye to Australia

Alice is going back to Hong Kong. She is my ex co-worker when i was working as a waiter. I had a farewell breakfast (yeah i know, farewell breakfast is just weird) this morning at the Jet in QVB.

She decided to have the dessert-like breakfast - chocolate with passion fruit as fillings. Erm, girls always like sweet stuff, can never bring myself to have sweet stuff for breaky.

Latte, my all time favourite. Steven once told me not to add sugar to my coffee, it's bad and doesn't taste nice. I habituated myself and have my coffee without sugar since then.

You're so gonna miss this face of mine Alice. lol. She always calls me "sei zai" or "sui zai" like how she called her younger brother which is at my age.

Ta daaaaa!!!! According to Alice, it tastes nice, well, it sure does for a chocolate lover!

The guy sitting next to us obliged and helped us with the picture. Ok, i will call you when i go to Hong Kong, make sure you spare some time showing me around!! And you are kind enough to not laughed at my funny cantonese! thanks! haha.

Giving Alice a hug and saying good-bye to her has made me realised that there have been so many people walked in and out of my life. i have kinda gotten used to it and that doesn't bother me at all. Or maybe subconsciously, it does bother me but it's not significant. As people walk in, they will eventually walk out of your life. The good thing is, the memories remain, and burnt into your life.

Walking in and out is fine, but never walk away.

A Night Out to Kings X with JG (Jia Jie)

JG has been in Sydney for days, and it's only yesterday we decided to catch up before he is flying back to NZ at 6pm today! We were initially plannning to have dinner together but JG got stuck in the middle of something that's why we met up after dinner.

JG still looked the same like what i saw two years ago. So, there's no hard time recognizing each other. We caught a bus instead of walked all the way there which is quite exhausting to be honest. After much failed persuasion by the guys working in the strip clubs, we decided to settle in a NORMAL club where you can actually drink and dance but not seeing people dancing, naked...

JG started to feel tipsy and dizzy. Still a great smile though :)

the Redbull Vodka, yeah to keep you awake when you are drunk, that's the whole point of it! exciting!
yeah yeah, bottoms up JG!!!! go go!!!!!!!

cheers! Corona after the tequila shots! so what the tequila shot is like ? sorry i didn't have a picture of it. Firse lick the salt, then gush down the tequila shot, and suck in the lime. it's supposed to have a strong effect, but it depends on your alcohol tolerance really.

oh yeh~~~~

the wasted Jason? wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok the exposure lighting is just toooooo high!!!!!!!!!

i was in the toilet for a leak and going to wash my hands when i bumped into this two aussie guys.

"don't wash your hands!" One of the taller guy said to me.

"why?" i asked, looking puzzled and afraid that they were going to pick a fight.

"if you want the chick to suck your dick, don't wash your hands! " he then continued.

"oh ok, but i am that horny tonight!you can have them all!" i turned on the water tap and washed my hands, and we both just laughed out loud.

lol.

hope you enjoyed your night JG.

Luna Park

Slipping away from my revision for Geology on a Sunday morning three days before my Geology final exam is defintely something i would do. yeap, i did it two years ago, went to the fun fair in One U two days before my SPM exam. haha. Actually, as my friend said, "the iniquity of it just makes you feel more exciting", and that's so true when the the trip to Luna Park with Sherene and Jason had made my day.

Luna Park is situated on the bay of North Sydney. Thus one can see the Opera House and Harbour Bridge from there.
The way lead to my fairytale land. But wth, they just made the entrance less appealing by putting that creepy "clown" to welcome you. I think they should just put my picture instead. lol.
yeap, it's Optus Family Day. Sherene is working in Optus, that's why i got to join the family day (huh, family day????? relax, not the father-mother-and-children kind of family day that was inteded for me and sherene and jason, we are "sibling", not blood-related of course).

First thing to do, study the map just in case we lost our way. i couldn't be bothered much though, i got away from my Geology revision and i'd still have to study map in Luna Park? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The magic mirror. (the whole point of it was to show my legs (ok, sherene's as well). The mirror was supposed to make you feel horizontally challenged, but why did i still look the same? T.T well, i think i'd need a better one!

everyone was so happy. but i think the "clown?" (seriously i don't know what they are called) were crying inside, the weather was just too hot!!! Actually i felt like hugging them, but i am too old to do that. The hugs were meant for the kids.

It's lunch time!!!! Ham and cheese sandwich, an apple, and a packet of orange juice. well, we always go for healthy food (because it's the peak season for pimples, all the stress and deprivation of sleep). lol. Sherene and Jason. i think the apple is was too sour that Sherene had that expression on her face. :P

okok, it's time to camwhore! You couldn't blame me, the queue was just too long and we had nothing better to do.
i was wondering if they were girls or guys. But either way, the one in orange dress with pinkish hair took advantage on me!!!!! and have a close-up look, there is a litttle tiny hand grabbing on Jason's leg. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. i might have a nightmare.
why was i doing that supposed-to-be-funny-but-obviously-it-is-not look? well, we were waiting for the merry-go-round when the cardboard captain hinted us that we are way too old for the merry-go-round. Looking around, they were all kids and parents in the queue that we decided to leave. lol.
ok, Sherene's hat. and i didn't wear blusher!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not even 130cm? sadness man! i thought i am 180cm!!!! T.T.

Stop tip-toeing Sherene. You need a pair of high heels. erm, i think 3 inches should be enough, or you will be taller than me :-(.
yeh, my Diesel and Sherene's Adidas. sorry guys, Sherene's legs are not as hairy as mine. i had just straightened mine but it's such a failure again (for those who know what i am saying). lol.

ok i will use this picture of mine to end the post. Haven't been updating much pictures of my life in my blog.

Luna Park is not as massive as the theme park in Genting Highland. and of course less fun you could actually get from there. However, it just gave me a kind of satisfaction when i looked at all the parents and kids having their fun moments together in the family day. i have never had my family day (in this case i meant with my parents and siblings) since i was a kid.

It actually made me looking forward to my "future" family days, i promised myself i will definitely give my children the best family day.

The making of qing hua ci

While burying my head in the piles of notes preparing for the exams, there certianly must be some entertainment to de-stress myself. and yeah, you know me well, i started singing more than often! Plus niao ren (the guitarist) sent me the acoustical version of "qing hua ci", so i tried to sing along with it and record it down. Simultaneously, my roommate Jason was recording the the scene when i was trying to record my second attempt of singing that song. It's pretty dumb though!

will upload the complete version of the qing hua ci which i will be recording soon when i am done :-)

Will be back soon to keep my blog alive after the exam! stay happy everyone!

Guest: Big Breakfast

After the first guest post by me earlier, I'm here again to post something. Blame Shane for not updating the blog frequently, he's out there busy flirting =)
Stuvac has started since a few days ago, and so we decided it is time for us to start cooking again. The first day wasn't anything special though, however for some unknown reasons Shane thought that we needed a bigger breakfast (actually it is brunch instead) today, and thus the title of the post.

This is our breakfast set with: 2 sausages, 1 bacon, 4 slices of bread (8 slices of french toast), sauteed mushroom and last but not least Earl Grey Tea.

Estimated price if you have this outside according to shane: AUD$20 for everything including the Earl Grey Tea.

So thats the menu for today's brunch, whats next for dinner =P

Cheers,
Jason

Worse than rejection

i was on the phone with my friend Shirley and she was all maudlin and sounding so upset. I knew she was going to tell me something that had caused the depression (maybe you might think depression is too strong of a word, not until you know the whole story).

So, after routinely talking about what's happening in life and bla bla bla, it's finally come to the story time, and i had already prepared myself to give a counselling session.

"i went to a club in Darling Harbour on a friday night, and i was with a friend of mine when i noticed this guy who happened to stare at me when i looked towards his direction. it came from my sixth sense that he is a hong kong guy (shirley has always wanted to date an asian guy who can speak cantonese, well, mandarin is a bonus afterall). I thought there was some spark going on between us thus i mustered up all my courage and set myself ready to pick him up. i marched forward towards him and started to ask if i can get him a drink. Here comes the highlight of the story!!! i was totally petrified when he started talking to me with his "girly voice"
"oh no thanks, i already have one. you meet my bf, bla bla". i was too embarassed to just walk away, so i tried to keep up with the conversation with him while my heart was bleeding profusely! " Shirley told me the whole story and to be honest, i could feel her pain.

So here is the deal, her first time (picking up guy in this case) in Sydney has been given to the wrong guy, and obviously the dream of i-will-eventually-get-a-nice-guy-when-i-least-expect-it has been shattered and left her all in a trauma ! i think that'd be a stark nightmare for the all the girls whose gaydars are never working.

Shirley has then developed a tentative phobia towards guys and think that all the guys she saw or sees are gays. How sad could that be? i could really imagine how the hong kong guy had given her a rough time which i believe wouldn't be compensated in a short while.

Afterall, who could be blamed? The diversity of sexuality has made the world colourful yet simultaneously made the world more complicated and unpredictable. You will never know when is it going to hit on you and how well you can handle it. Afterall, it's not only the case of straight girls going for gay guys, it also involves gay guys going for straight guys or straight guys going for gay girls. It's an endless cycle that you have to be prepared to get involved with.

How fabulous is it if someone can ever come up with a radar that can tell you whether a guy or a girl is straight or gay. There wouldn't be so much pain for the all of us.

i remember i came across an interesting phrase used to serve as rejection " oh sorry, it's not you, you're great, but it's your pussy, i like c***." (sorry for the vulgarity)

Afterall, it's worse than a rejection !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10 reasons why i am not a good student

ok, here to do some quick update~the problem with me here is that i rarely have the mood to blog (only recently), but i promise i will get my ass back here in a bits.

ok, inspired by Attiya (my coursemate), i am here to reveal the reasons why i am not a good student.

1) i skipped my lectures (pretty much). but well i have a good reason for it, i did my assignments at that skipped lecture hours!!! convincing enough?haha.

2) i fell in love with my lecturer (according to Tiya, i am just so gone, hahha). lol.

3) i sometimes text during my lectures! eh, lots of people out there actually do this as well! i am good enough to not fall asleep!

4) i actually bring a small pillow to uni, if i ever happen to remember to put my pillow into my school bag. (well, i have a say on it! i am kind enough to consider bringing it just to lend it to my friends who happen to need it at times)

5) i wear flipflops and surf pants to uni and look so much like i am going to the beach. well, there is a beach near my uni though! haha..(its spring anyway, and it feels like summer, that's a way to cool myself down!!)

6) (according to Jason) i printed all my lecture notes all at once right before exams! T.T ( it has just happened once or twice, i am sure, erm....)

7) i am such a vice that i play influence on my friends not to go to lectures!! (well, that's not my fault though)

8) i like mondays as i have completed 20% of uni days for a week. that's the way i think and am starting to look forward to the weeekends right on monday!

9) i love my laptop so much more than i love my books! (well, i have to study online as well! that's why. lol)

10) (according to Mic,) Good students care about lots of little tiny things, but i care none of them. (wow, this has best described everything with me). lol

so yah, thats about it. there are only 10 of them, not too many really! So i am still partially a good student!

Inside the wallet

"Don't simply open my bag without my consent!" that has become the over-used phrase fo girls when it comes to guys trying to open their bags.
Guys are always not allowed to rummage girls' bags or handbags. The reason of that is well understood. Yeah, you might find a packet of pad or tampon (thanks to Sherene, i have finally managed the difference between them, haha) inside the bags which they seem apparantly not to be willing to be seen, albeit that's so common among girls.
Girls have their personal item which they don't want to be seen in their bags. what about guys?
If girls bring their pad or tampon with them all the time, then i'd say guys bring their condoms with them all the time. It's put inside the wallet in this case~! Well, i am not sure how many of us guys will actually put the condom in the wallet and bring it with us everyday. It's not exaggerated if i say there are 5 out of 10 guys will actually do that. Well not that i am advocating one night stand, but it's for the sake of safety!!!!!
Anyway, having the condoms put inside the wallet is easy, but to buy the condoms is actually the tough part, for the first time at least! My friend Stev was telling me about his first experience buying condoms.
"Actually to minimize the awkwardness, i should have bought something else besides condoms. but i didn't. So when i paid, the cashier went like this " do you need a plastic?" and i was like "oh
yes?" " he was telling me about that and i couldn't stop laughing imagining how awkward the situation was! It's hilarious to think that if he refused the plastic bag, he has to carry the pack of condoms around IN THE CITY!
The story has actually traced me back to last year when i was of legal age to actually go into "i need house" ( something like an adult shop). i was walking in with weechean, and i was asked to show my ID, it's nothing at all to show my id, but the embarassment was unbearable! i am sure the girl might have thought that i am still "growing" and it's way too early to use a condom!
Anyway, practise makes perfect ( aw, it sounded so wrong to put in this way), you will find buying condoms is nothing more than like buying candies!
Get a bigger wallet guys!!!

Realisations

Sherene has come back from China after two weeks. It indeed has felt like a lifetime, and i am kinda shocked seeing how much i've missed her when she was not around. The dinners without her, the singing session was ruled out, even the shopping spree has been cut down. awww, in this case, she seems more like a vice! haha.

It got me thinking that we always take things around us for granted, and worse still, we take the people around us for granted. You won't notice how much influences the person has had on you, you won't realise how attentive he/she has been to you, and how nice a person he/she is. But when the people has left, yeah will never be by your side again, everything will come to the realisations abruptly, flooding your mind and exerting so much pressure and regrets than you can ever bear.

that's life, you will never know when you have not lost anything yet.

I was having a conversation with my friend Jules, apparantly he has just had a breakup three weeks ago. He came to admit to me that he was so into the relationship, he was so deeply in love and could hardly go on with the life after the breakup. Everything around has reminded him of her, and he couldn't put things right for almost three weeks. But now, after only three weeks, he's got another date, and sort of going out on dates and falling in love is apparantly inevitable.

It's just not fathomable how thing goes in life. You are able to cope with life damn well and move on within an incomprehensive period of time while you are supposed to be maudlin and cry over the past relationship. It's just amazing how fast the pace of life is going and you'd never have the time to stop by and digest what's been happening.

Before this, i never realised how blissful it was when my mum bought me a shirt or pants ( it was freaking 9 years ago), how fabulous when you have somebody to wake you up in the morning without needing to turn off the alarm ( and it was 7 freaking years ago), and so on. But today, they all came to hit me at once, leaving me heartily picking them up piece by piece, and caused the emotion-driven part of me to surface.

Leave the pasts behind voonsien, a better life is ahead of you.

A brand new start is awaiting and i will be cutting the queue to reach out to it.

bryvan update!

yeah i know, i am such a pain, i haven't been updating my blog for almost two weeks! ok, what have i been doing?

"jason, i havent blogged for a while" i said
"well, you are so lazy, we know that! " jason said
"eh, i am pretty busy aye!" i countered
"haha, you're watching series right now, what has kept you busy?" sarcasm surfaced.
"busy watching series of course ! " i said, no feeling of guilt at all. haha.

ok, with "lots" of evidence, i concluded that i was pretty busy!

so now, i am taking a bit off to post some update of my newphew!!

he is two months old now. According to my mom, he is getting more and more talkative (obviously nobody can understand his language at the moment, except for the cry for milk!), and drastically turning into the CHIA's golden grandchildren, and have all the attentions to himself. YAH!!!! I AM SERIOUSLY BEING NEGLECTED!!! i am so mean~~~hahaha~~~

next, he is, without any doubt, becoming bossier and bossier. According to my grandma (see, everyone is talking about him), he wants to be fed right after the shower, not even the time to don him is allowed. So the procedure goes unusually like this : shower--->milk---> put on the clothes.
yeah i know, you must be wondering like me, wouldn't he catch a cold? erm, practise makes perfect, and he is kinda used to it now. hehe. damn cute.

He can't live without airconditioning. he would have insomnias if the aircond is not working, or if it's too hot in the noon. So, my loving father ( well, never that loving before) decided to install an aircond in the living room (basically just for him, proof : we have been living in that house for almost 10 years, and the thought has never crossed his mind). And he has now befriended the airconds at home, Mum said she found him talking to the aircond. Maybe he took the sounds from the aircond as response. hehe.

aw, he is using Winnie The Pooh pacifier. erm, kinda photogenic, isn't he?
lol, pinkish handkerchief. well, he has fair skin, so yeah, it suits him!
erm, a close-up look. "can you please let me sleep? my working hours is over!" lol. anyway, if you look close enough, he doesn't have much hair. :(. Chia's trait. never mind, you will be a rich guy!!!

i was viewing him through the webcam last night. and he looked right into the webcam throughout the session. well, at least he can recognise me and my voice. hehe. his eyes look like mine, aren't they? no? no? haha.

ok that's about it. will update more when i go back to malaysia. wow, can you imagine the whole post is dedicated for him!

36 hours in Canberra

Decided to make full use of my term break, and as a result of the failure to go to Gold Coast, i had decided to take up the backup plan going to Canberra for a night. It's pretty much Tom's idea, and so we bought the bus ticket and booked our accomodation in advance.

I woke up at the wee hours of 4.45am on a Monday morning to wash up and get changed for the 6am bus going to Canberra. Frankly, that's pretty early considering i finished my dvd until 1am and went to bed at around 1.30am. Walking to the central station, Tom was there already, wearing as many layers of clothes as he usually does. Boarded on the bus and took off sharp at 6am, with the sun had already risen up and the sun rays beamed directly onto my body.

The journey to Canberra takes around 3 hours in the bus. Lucky enough the coach bus was comfy enough to fail me on my plan of doing some novel readup in the bus when i fell asleep along the journey.

Australia has long known for its breathtaking sceneries. Most of the time when i were awake, i would look out of the window and sunk in the mesmerising scenery of the mother Nature. The notable litte dots on the lawn were the sheeps, yeah they were too far away, so i couldn't really snapped a nice picture.

Tom asked me a question which made me pondered and giggled for a bit.
"do you think the sheeps will die if there isn't anyone to shave off their wool in the summer? i feel kinda hot now by just looking at them. i think they should just stack up together so that the ones down under will survive, let the above ones die!" lol. that's actually true. Will they really die if the wool is not being taken off? help me with this question.

We arrived at Canberra round 9.15am. The whole city is so neat, so organised. Being unlucky on that day itself, the weather was poo. Sizzling hot, and there was so much walking to do. wth.

"did you check online of the places we are going to visit?"Tom asked and immediately got the answer "no" from my guilty look. Well, he didn't know me quite well, i am not that of a planner, sorry. "BE SPONTANEOUS" has always been the motto in my life! hehe.

I spotted a shop selling maps when i got down from the bus. i was blessed, at least i could save up the time walking directionlessly looked for a map shop. After getting the map of Canberra, we decided to look for the bus stop to catch a bus to our hostel.anyway, studying the map wasn't easy at all that i asked a pedestrian for diretion instead.

The mapworld, i worship you from that day onwards.

yeah, the map of Canberra City. actually it's double printed, the other page was the map of the suburban area of Canberra, but it wasn't needed. aha.

see, told ya map study wasn't study. Tom was scratching his head vigorously, well it didn't seem to help eventually. lol.

our destination was our hostel. Unfortunately, the street where our hostel is located wasn't there on the map. wth right??!! So we called up the hostel to ask for direction! it just happened to be at the street across from we were. lol.
this is the road leading up to our hostel. looked pretty nice huh? it felt like the place where some of the koreans drama like 'winter sonata" or "autumn in my heart" was filmed. haha. but seriouly, it's really nice.

phew, we finally made it there, Victor Lodge, haha. it's vey quiet there, so i guessed i would have a good sleep that night.
sorry, the picture is very dark, i forgot to change my exposure on the camera. erm, we shared a room with two other people, and they happened to be two malaysians as well, hehe. what a nice coincidence. so we spoke in malay as they have just come to aus for holidays. Ok, my Malay is "certified", i couldnt really speak malay at all. aw......

After settling down in the hostel and unpacked our luggage, we headed out to the city for lunch. A sudden thought of having McDonald for lunch had occured to me, thus looking for mcdonald was our next mission. Since we were staying off the city, it'd had got no McD in the vicinity. we could only go to the city for just McDonald. so sarcastic.
The fountain. nothing special though, just took some random pictures in the bus. the antishake function in y camera is kinda good, isn't it?

we then went to the Gold Greek Village where all the miniature of buildings are displayed. erm, actually we didn't pay to get in there, lol, just walked around that area and snapped some picture, and bought some souveniers. haha.
aha, it's all about Tom. they even have a TOM'S BAR here. actually, that's just a sighboard, there wasn't any bar existed there. lol.

A short excursion to ANU (australia national univesity) was made after that. Tom had got a friend doing Law in ANU, so we could just meet up with her for dinner and she could show us around before that.
a proof that we were there in ANU. haha.

a nice cafe in ANU itself. a nice cafe is very important to uni students. a cup of hot latte will definitely boost your mind and you can easily focus in your studies.

The quietness and the lack-of-entertainment in Canberra got me thinking that if i were to study in Canberra, i would be so much of a good student, study everyday, go to the library every so often and complete my assignments a week before they are due. lol. However, as the old saying goes "old habit dies hard", i think i would spend more money on the transport to Sydney or some other interesting places whenever there is a short break or worse come to worse once in a fortnight. aha, so the conclusion is, i am relieved i didn't have chosen Canberra in the first place.
Dinner was nice at one of the malaysian restaurant which served definitely good food and the i guess because of the eagerness to fill up our stomach after a long day walk. Asam fish fillet, Sandong chicken and Garlic King prawn. It's not exaggerated to say that the dinner had made our day. lol.

the night in Canberra city centre. This was so much different from Sydney city centre. it's way too quiet that i kept thinking it's 10pm but not 7.45pm. HELP!!!! we couldn't find anything to entertain ourselves. Going back to the hostel seemed to be a wise decision.

Along the way waiting for the bus, a lady asked me for the time. Instinctively and sort of less attentively, i gazed at my watch and told her " eight fifty". Well, after 10 minutes, Tom asked me the time and i told him "8pm". i could sense the shock in his face, and a simple question ensued "and you told the lady?"
"oh shit, it's an hour difference!!! omg, i hope she wasn't going on a date or something that her date would be scapegoat for being "late"!" feeling guilty, but it seemed to be too late.

The night at Victor Lodge was unexpectedly restful. i fell asleep at 10.30pm after the hustle of taking my shower, dried up my hair which obviously didn't take much of a time, and did some reading before i drifted to my dreamland. Woke up at 8am the next morning after ten hours of a contented sleep. The breakfast was provided by Victor Lodge, nothing fancy like bacon and egg or something as what Tom had been expecting. it's just the toast, cereal and orange juice. it definitely put Tom off with such a simple meal. However i was cool with it.

And wth, somebody stole my facewash when i realised that morning i had left it in the shared toilet. sobzzzz. Why would somebody ever want to steal things like facewahs? erm, i had already cut down my luggage by leaving behind the paraphernalia of my facescrub, flipflop and etcetra. and what now?it'd further been cut down when my facewash was stolen!!!!!

After the breakfast, we walked up to the city to catch a bus to the Parliament House. ok, lots of walking again!

ok, my bad, i forgot to adjust the light exposure, again!! i know, i am such a pain!! but bear with me, you still can see the parliament house, can't you?

after the new parliament, we then walked to the next destination, the old parliament house. oh hell, the parliament house thingy was indeed boring, i hope there would be somehting interesting like bunjee jump or sort of things around the parliament house. i would like it to bits. yeah, the old parliament house, it looked pretty new to me anyway.
the bus stop in Canberra. it felt like the mushroom cottage in those fairytales. hehe. so am i the prince?
erm, the only picture we took together the whole trip. still skillful in camwhoring~lol~
so the highlight of the trip, and also the main purpose of the trip -- THE FLORIADE!! lots and lots and lots and lots of flowers as you can tell by the name. aha. i am not a sucker for flowers though. but they are nice indeed.

lots of pictures, but i am damn lazy to upload them all. i think my grandma will definitely like the place, but not me. well, i will love it twenty years later, but not now. i think i am adept enough to take those nice pictures~lol.

Done with the flowers. we were extremely hungry by then. A feast was a must to get on with the rest of the day. erm, we went to a pizza and steak house, recommended by tom's friend. it's really nice, can's miss if you are paying a visit to canberra.

yeah, the woodstock pizza house~~you will be impressed by the food and amazed by the menus. all the pizzas are named after every horoscope. it's a fab idea. for those who are indecisive, you can easily make up your mind by simply choosing your own horoscope. erm, give it a go~~
erm, a chilling drink was definitely on the list. obviously the corona was mine, heineken or some any other beer weren't my thing at all. i know, corona is beer as well, but it isn't so "beer" if you know what i meant.

the pizza we ordered. actually we ordered two medium pizza which made up 16 pieces of them and a medium portion of lasagna. and i had to stuff myself with 9 pieces of pizza as Tom was feeling full by the time he finished the 7th piece of it. erm, time to put on weight. lol.

After the lunch, instead of being energetic, Tom was feeling sleepy. lol. I had to drag him to the war memorial as we still had three hours to kill before boarding on the bus return to Sydney.
yeah, the Australian War Memorial.
the Anzac Parade. well, i know Anzac day, guess it must have something to do with it. aha, cant be bothered!
lol. the unknown soldier.
yeah, malaya is on the list, not malaysia. it's during the world war period anway.

i think he must be tired standing all years through. anyway, he has the nice outfit, so it's worthwhile.
erm, the German something gun. i am not really into history stuff actually. so yeah, not much information you can get from me.

a last drink in Canberra before heading back to Sydney, can't wait to go back to Sydney actually.

So, the Canberra trip ended at 6pm, Tuesday when i boarded on the bus heading back to Sydney. Waved the city goodbye, i could still feel the reluctantness in me despite the boredoom caused in this quiet city. anyway, the interesting is, i have absorbed the geological map of Canberra, the bus route map, and the bus system. so anyone, if you would like to pay a visit to Canberra, i could volunteer to show you around. i am pretty much good at it now. trust me.

i like going on a trip, a trip organized by myself and exploring on my own. no rush, no pressure and you could just go anywhere you want. A conclusion had been drawn after this Canberra trip, it's not a city i will fall in love with, it's just....too quiet, and quite dead actually.

back to the Sydney at 9.30pm, i felt alive. the life here is so much more colourful compared to in Canberra. More traffic, more noises, and more humans on the street even though it's 9 o'clock at night. How things are so different in Sydney, how life is more happening in Sydney and how much i like Sydney and miss Sydney. i think Sydney has now slipped into my mind and has become part of my life.
